With the two-night Decadence event over with, and the calendar rolled over to 2023, I had one full day left in Denver. This day would be dedicated mostly to Meow Wolf, more urban exploration and beer tasting, with the following day being mostly taken up by the long drive home.

Denver is a city I'd wanted to visit for quite a long time, and had even been thinking about moving to even though I'd never seen it. It's in such a perfect location, right next to the Rocky Mountains and some of my favorite places to go snowboarding, and also is the home of a great many craft breweries. For New Year's Eve 2022 I found out about an event which looked like a great reason to plan a trip to Denver.

Santa Fe is the small and arty capital city of New Mexico. Since I first moved to the state almost two years before this trip, I'd stopped in Santa Fe a couple times, but just to spend the night at a hotel, eat dinner, and stop at some bars in between trips to the nearby ski resort, Ski Santa Fe. Neither one of these visits really felt like enough and I wanted to stop and look around for longer, and also check out this Meow Wolf place I'd heard so much about.

The Bass Canyon festival at the Gorge Amphitheater, in the middle of Washington state, happened over August 19-21, 2022, and was the reason I planned this whole Seattle trip in the first place. Writing this blog now, I know I'm way behind on blogging. I've already gone to Bass Canyon 2023 and now I'm still having to write about the one in 2022!
