In the middle of Munich, on an island in the river Isar, there's a celebrated museum which was probably my favorite museum to visit on that side of the world. It has a humble name: Deutsches Museum, which simply means "German Museum." It is, in fact, the world's largest science and technology museum. If you ever visit Munich, you must visit this place, like I did on Friday, May 20, 2022.

Two more days left in Germany: one entirely in Munich, the other mostly in Munich with an afternoon train to Frankfurt, where I'd be catching my flight out the next morning.

The last day and a half of this trip, Tuesday evening and all of Wednesday, I was exploring Stuttgart, being a tourist in what used to be my own city. Thursday morning started off with me boarding an ICE train at Stuttgart's main station, bound for Munich, to see the biggest city in Germany that I hadn't visited while living in that country.

When I last left off, I was standing on a platform at Amsterdam Centraal station, waiting for a train to Arnhem. This was going to be the first in a series of three trains that day to get me to Stuttgart.
