It’s been forever since I last wrote a blog and I feel I need to post an update. The last travelogue I wrote was about EDC Orlando which happened eight months ago! Lately though, I’ve been getting sidetracked with not only more trips, but preparing to finally move out of Clovis.

In March, I flew to France for Tomorrowland Winter, a trip that was bookended by stays in New York City. The first blog, about the first NYC visit, has been perpetually almost finished for the last two months. I’ll get it out eventually…

In May, I went to Bakersfield, CA for Lightning in a Bottle. To get there, I rode the Southwest Chief train out of Las Vegas, NM. Even more worthwhile was the three days I spent volunteering with All Hands And Hearts who were working disaster relief for people affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles.

Last month I went to Electric Forest and loved it.

Right now I’m at Desert Hearts near Flagstaff, AZ. It’s rather similar to June Jam with its DIY feel. Also, I got in for free in exchange for doing volunteer work.

Next week my apartment gets packed up and I’m off for Colorado, but there’s even more trips lined up. Two weeks from now you’ll find me at Secret Dreams in Thornville, OH at the same venue that hosts Lost Lands. This fest is similar to Euphoria, the one I used to go to in Austin, with a lineup featuring Pretty Lights, SunSquabi, The Floozies, and Shpongle. I’m pulling volunteer shifts there as well. I’ll also be spending a couple days in Columbus which will include a visit to COSI, a museum I went to many times growing up.

A week after Secret Dreams I’ll be capping off this long, strange series with a festival in western Canada I’ve wanted to go to for years: Shambhala!

So this blog will get interesting again. And, I’m going to put in a real effort to get the Shambhala blog up here before the middle of fall.
